Our History
From a small family-owned hospitality business in the Netherlands, to a world-wide known AI company in the robotics industry.
We are OrionStar Europe, founded in 2018, with the alias ‘Ninobotics’. Prior to the establishment of this robotics company, we were active within the hospitality industry with more than 15+ restaurants in the Netherlands. With more than 30 years experience in bars, cafés, and restaurants, we saw innovative opportunities in operations. This is where our interests for robotics started.
The story really began in 2015, when our CEO Danny Deng visited a tech event in China. He was inspired by the rapid growth of technology in Asia and immediately saw solutions to the upcoming challenges within the hospitality industry; lack of employees, employee efficiency and employee strain. With the use of robots, these challenges would be solved in no time.
After experimenting with various types of service robots from different brands, we came to the conclusion that the products of OrionStar meet all of our needs, as a consumer, and experienced hospitality operator. With that realization, we ordered large quantities, became a distributor named ‘Ninobotics’, and later became officially part of the OrionStar family within Europe.
Fast forward to today, we help humans to become more human at work. We believe that with the use of robots, the human challenges within any industry will diminish. With the advanced AI technology of OrionStar, we are the market leaders in delivery and social robotics in Asia, Northern America and Europe. Featuring innovative designs, smart voice responses, and multilingual interactions, our robots provide users with extraordinary robot experiences.
